Tom Waddell, the athlete, is the subject of the two large pictures. He competed in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City and took sixth place in the Decathlon. The photographer's name is Don Chadez. The pictures were contributed by Paula Finn of San Francisco. They were given to her by Zohn Artman, Tom's lover.
