This is a collection of excerpts from exceptional e-mail messages I've received over the past 5 years and the more interesting and relevant messages left in a now-defunct Guestbook over the period from April, 1997 to March 1999.

I sincerely thank all those people who've written to me over the years to comment on my site. When I began planning this site early in 1996, I considered the fact that I would be exposing myself to the possibility of threats and other hate mail due to the subject matter. I decided that documenting that historic chapter in the struggle for equal rights for gays and lesbians was important enough to take the risk. I am extremely pleased to report that in over 5 years on-line, I have received ZERO hateful messages and only one or two with negative comments. Instead, I've received hundreds of messages of encouragement, and expressions of gratitude for providing information, nostalgia, and hope.
