Harvey with Dennis Peron, circa 1977. Peron has been a Marijuana activist and a
leader in the fight for legal Medical Marijuana. In the 1970's he operated the
ISLAND, a restaurant on the corner of 16th and Sanchez which Harvey used for
several campaign speeches. Peron has run unsucessfully for Mayor of San

TV station. It shows Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk outside
City Hall celebrating their election victories in November 1977.
