WHITE NIGHT RIOT © 1979 J. Pritikin

On May 21, 1979, Dan White was convicted of manslaughter in the assassinations of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk. The anger of the gay community turned to outrage and a march to City Hall turned into a violent riot in which all the lower windows of City Hall were trashed and a dozen police cars were torched.
